March 20th is World Oral Health Day. Your mouth is so important as it allows you to chew, talk, laugh and most importantly smile! You can do your part to help promote healthy oral habits in your community.

5 Steps How Dr. Frankel and Team Encourage the community to take care of their mouth:

1. Visit the Dentist – make sure it’s part of your routine to come in twice a year for routine cleanings.

2. Brush and Floss Your Teeth – make it a habit to brush and floss in the morning and before your go to bed. Brush together as a family!

3. Protect Your Smile – invest in mouth guards to keep your teeth safe while you sleep or play sports.

4. Eat Nutritious Meals and Snacks – fill yourself up on foods rich in vitamins and minerals and limit sugary and sticky foods and drinks.

5. Drink Water – fluoridated water from the tap may help prevent tooth decay.

It’s important to practice these healthy steps to maintain a healthy mouth and healthy body.
