Dr. Hayder Al Janabi comes to Frankel Dentistry as a recent graduate from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He was recognized on the Tufts Dean’s List in 2020 and 2021. As a child, Dr. Al Janabi watched his brother suffer from a devastating broken tooth, he admired and looked up to the dentist who helped bring his brother's smile back. He knew from that moment he wanted to pursue dentistry. Originally from Iraq, Dr. Al Janabi obtained two DDS degrees overseas in 2013. Upon graduation he began serving through a Polyclinic as a general and cosmetic dentist, placing implants, veneers, as well working in orthodontics and full mouth rehabilitation. One of his favorite quotes is “A genuine smile comes from the heart, but a healthy smile needs good dental care.” Wayne Chrisia

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Al Janabi loves to ride horses, hunt, and cook. His favorite entree to serve is a fresh lightly seared Tuna salad with figs. He loves traveling whether it be two hours north to visit his family farm, an international flight to see the beautiful land of Turkey, or a visit to the Real Madrid stadium to watch his favorite team! A few essentials Dr. Al Janabi cannot live without are his loved ones and air.

We are elated to introduce our newest addition to Frankel Dentistry, an Ohio native and former Ohio State Buckeye, Dr. Erin Waples D.D.S! Dr. Waples was born and raised in the small village of Mogadore in Northeastern Ohio. She grew up loving soccer, track, and the great outdoors, spending dozens of weekends camping and hiking with her family.

Dr. Waples attended the University of Akron where she studied Biomedical Engineering. She knew she wanted a fulfilling, impactful career while still being able to maintain a work life balance. Post graduation she began shadowing different career fields and discovered her passion for dentistry. “There is something so special about working with your hands, touching the lives of patients, and creating long lasting relationships and friendships.”

Dr. Waples pursued her dental degree at THE Ohio State University. She spent her time in Columbus playing intramural soccer, attending Buckeye games with friends, and serving the community through the Delta Sigma Delta organization. She also met her fiance and fellow Frankel and Puhl dentist, Dr. Westmeyer. These two are thrilled and grateful to serve the NWO community through their passions.

In her spare time, Dr. Waples is still an avid adventurer. Camping, hiking, and exploring new destinations! When indoors she enjoys opening up a good book (now accepting recommendations!) and spending time with her fiance and their goldendoodle, Kennedy.

Frankel Dentistry is overjoyed to have a part of our team.

It seems appropriate we celebrate the addition of Dr. Anmol Dhaliwal to Frankel & Puhl Dentistry. She was born and raised in Edmonton; Alberta known as Canada’s Festival City. Edmonton hosts over 50 festivals annually, so this means Dr. Dhaliwal knows nothing less than a good time.

Dr. Dhaliwal completed her undergrad at Concordia University with a major in chemistry and minor in psychology. She went on to pursue dentistry at the largest dental school in the US, NYU College of Dentistry. While at NYU she lived our core values of Always Better and Serve All. She was in the honors program and participated in the PSOT (Program for Survivors of Torture) which provided dental care to refugees and asylum seekers. This is the only program of its kind in the United States. Passionate about helping those in need she was changing lives a smile at a time long before she joined our practice.

Moving to Ohio to experience the true midwest, she was happy to find a dental home that mirrored her vocational aspirations. In her free time, you will find her traveling, cooking, and exploring new restaurants. Her most recent local favorites include Registry Bistro and Benchmark.

Dentistry is her passion and caring for her patients is her top priority.

Dr. Antony Greiss was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He moved to Houston, Texas in 2013 with his family, where he attended his undergraduate studies at University of Houston and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Chemistry. He further continued his education and received his Master of Business Administration from University of Texas at Tyler. His strong passion and keen interest in the field guided him to Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, where he pursued a career in dental medicine and obtained his DMD.

Upon completion of Dental School, Dr. Greiss completed his General Practice Residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. There, he gained invaluable knowledge and practice in performing not only routine dental procedures, but numerous complex procedures which included placing implants, crown lengthening and overdentures. Dr. Greiss recognizes the uniqueness of building relationships with patients of all ages and thus enjoys treating pediatric patients as well as adult patients. Dr. Greiss is passionate about what he does and is dedicated to providing patients with the best care, comfort, and confidence they deserve- one tooth at a time!

When not at the clinic or treating patients, Dr. Greiss enjoys staying active by engaging in soccer games and tournaments with his family and friends. His love for exploring new food and culture became the foundation for his love to travel. Having already visited 13 different countries and 20 states within the US – Spain, Italy, and New Zealand are up next on his bucket list of places to visit!

Dr. Dietel was born and raised in Chaska, Minnesota. If you have never heard of Chaska, you are not the only one. Hank Snow, a Canadian-American Country singer referred to Chaska in his song, “I have been everywhere.”  Currently there are approximately 24,000 inhabitants. Chaska has a long past. Originally inhabited by Mound Builders and later the Dakota. The ancient mounds can be found today in the city square. Chaska refers to the first male born child in the language of the Dakota. More recently there are two native Chashassan actors in the movie Fargo.  The doctors, health care providers, and staff at Frankel Dentistry are pleased to welcome their favorite Chaskan native son, Phillip Dietel, DMD.

At the young age of 15, Dr. Dietel knew he wanted to be a dentist. His college advisors suggested his pre-dental track. He received his Bachelor of Science in nutrition and food science from the University of Minnesota. (Yes, he is a great cook and baker. His carrot cake was the highlight of last year’s Thanksgiving Dinner.) After graduating Midwestern University Dental School in 2018, Dr. Dietel sought to further his training and completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Dietel is happy to call Ohio home but will always remain a Gopher fan. He enjoys reading, and has taken a keen interest in world history. He also enjoys traveling and documenting his trips through photography.

Dr. Dietel strives to provide the highest quality of dental care and to treat his patients as if they are family. This means not only caring for short term needs but developing long term goals and working to achieve a healthy smile. His innate abilities and unique aptitude are changing lives a smile at a time.

We are sure he is missed in Chaska but feel fortunate to have him here in Ohio at Frankel Dentistry.

Dr. Milad Karim grew up moving a lot. He was born in Iraq and raised in Denmark. He eventually moved to Michigan with his family. He attended Wayne State University in the heart of the city of Detroit for his undergraduate education in biochemistry and molecular biology and his master's degree in Medical Sciences. His empathetic nature and unique skill set guided him to a career in dentistry. He is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan Dental School.

Dr. Karim is a very outgoing, driven, and passionate individual. His innate leadership ability was evident in dental school. He served as class president for all 4 years at University of Michigan Dental school! Patients and colleagues admire him not only for working hard and passionately to excel but for helping others to do the same. His patients benefit from his caring nature and ability to listen. He is excited to bring his skills, experience and expertise to the Frankel Dentistry patient family.

When not thinking about dentistry he likes to spend time with family and close friends. He has traveled to over 20 countries, loves to experience different cultures and taste local foods. He enjoys hiking and running and rock climbing in the warmer weather and skiing and drinking hot chocolate in the winter.

Dr. Rebecca Gofman was born and raised in Westport, CT and has been part of Frankel and Puhl Dentistry since she moved to Ohio in 2019. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development with a focus on Child Health from Tufts University in Medford, MA. Dr. Gofman graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Honos Civicus Society for Civic Engagement.

Dr. Gofman went on to receive her DMD from University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, CT. During her time at UConn, she continued to participate in local community service events as well as a dental service trip to Honduras. Although she has always had a passion for working with children, Dr. Gofman made the decision to pursue General Dentistry so that she could treat both adult and pediatric patients. There is nothing she loves more than building a relationship with her patients and helping to make them feel as comfortable as possible.

After dental school, Dr. Gofman went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. During her residency, she gained experience treating routine dental patients, as well as managing dental emergencies and medically complex patients both in the inpatient hospital setting and in the Emergency Room. Dr. Gofman currently resides in Perrysburg with her husband and two daughters. In her free time she loves spending time with her kids, being outside, and trying new restaurants!

David Westmeyer, D.D.S. was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina but was raised in Toledo since the age of 4. He attended high school at Toledo Christian where he played football, basketball, and ran track. Toledo Christian is also where Dr. Westmeyer developed a passion in community service which inspired him to develop “TC CARES” a biannual service day for all high school students, staff and their parents that is still serving the Toledo community to this day.

Following high school, Dr. Westmeyer pursued his undergraduate degree at Bowling Green State University on a full tuition scholarship in the Sydney A. Ribeau President's Leadership Academy. He was very involved on campus at BGSU working as a resident advisor, volunteering with Dance Marathon among other organizations and even served a two-year term on the University Board of Trustees.

Dr. Westmeyer earned his dental degree at THE Ohio State University and is a huge Ohio State football fan. Columbus is one of his favorite cities for restaurants, sports and exploring. However, He is very excited to be back in Toledo serving this community, relieving pain, restoring tooth function, and helping patients achieve both oral health and aesthetic results.

In his free time, Dr. Westmeyer enjoys staying active both running and lifting. He loves to travel to new areas of our country, and specifically enjoys visiting our national parks Yosemite, Zion, and Glacier. His favorite vacations thus far have been Spain, Iceland, and Banff.

An Ohio native, Dr. Alfred C. Uveges,II grew up in the Cleveland area and completed both his undergraduate and post-graduate work from Case Western Reserve and Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Uveges has over twenty years of private practice experience in Sandusky and Rocky River, Ohio and takes great pride in treating his patients with the best care possible. A leader in his profession, Dr. Uveges has had extensive training in New York City with Dr. Larry Rosenthal and has attained Mastership level training with the Aesthetic Advantage ~Advanced Aesthetic Continuum through New York University College of Dentistry and has been a clinical instructor with “Aesthetic Advantage Hands-On Program at the Rosenthal Institute, NYU College of Dentistry. Dr. Uveges spent time working in New York City on Park Avenue.

Dr. Uveges was honored with distinction as MDTV National Medical Expert in Cosmetic Dentistry by the MDTV Medical News Now, Inc. He received America's Top Dentist Designation, was featured in New Beauty Magazine, Northern Ohio Live Magazine and Cleveland Best Dentist in America Designation.

Dr. Uveges was selected to represent the State of Ohio as the Team Ambassador in Washington, D.C. for the Relay for Life National event. Additionally, he was selected to represent Ohio at the LiveStrong Cancer event in Austin, Texas. As far as his involvement in the community, Dr. Uveges served many years as the Relay for Life-Erie County Chairman. He helped in founding the Uveges Genetic Cancer through the North Coast Cancer Center in Sandusky, Ohio. He has been involved in the Chamber of Commerce, Sandusky Elks, and numerous community activities. Dr. Uveges and his wife, Linda, have a seventeen year old daughter, Cambelle and a fifteen year old son, Charlie. He loves to travel, especially when it means he can see his kids in action on the baseball and soccer fields and on the basketball and tennis courts!

Dr. Abdullah Elsalti was born in Tuscon, Arizona, however he spent his formative years in Damascus, Syria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Raised by supportive parents, Dr. Elsalti credits them for instilling in him the values of hard work, kindness, and dedication. As a child he watched his parents and siblings struggle with dental problems which fueled his determination to make a difference in other’s lives. After completing his high school education, Dr. Elsalti pursued his dream of becoming a dentist. He graduated from Damascus University School of Dental Medicine in 2013.

Driven by a desire to enhance his skills and provide comprehensive dental care, Dr. Elsalti embarked on a new journey by moving back to the United States. Prior to being accepted to a US dental program, Dr. Elsalti worked as a dental assistant. He enrolled at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated in May 2023. During his time at Tufts, he not only excelled academically but also served as a teacher assistant.

Passionate about serving others, Dr. Elsalti has actively participated in dental missions, providing essential care to those in need. He believes in making dental services more accessible to underserved communities and has participated in four dental missions, with “Give Kids a Smile” as one of his favorites. He aims to continue supporting such initiatives throughout his career.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Elsalti enjoys various hobbies and interests. He loves watching NBA basketball especially, Stephen Curry and Nikola Jovic. Additionally, he has a love for soccer, music and dancing. Dr. Elsalti also values traveling and meeting people from diverse backgrounds, which allows him to explore different cultures and gain a broader perspective on life. He has also recently discovered a hidden talent for cooking and enjoys experimenting with various dishes!

As a dentist, Dr. Elsalti is committed to providing the highest quality care to his patients. He prioritizes their well-being and aims to create a comfortable and welcoming environment. With his expertise in comprehensive dentistry, Dr. Elsalti is particularly passionate about full mouth rehabilitation cases, constantly seeking to enhance his skills in this area.
